SERA (星眾科技) is showcasing its Data Center Switches, 5G ORU (Open Radio Unit) remote wireless units, and Edge AI application technologies at COMPUTEX 2026, demonstrating its technological strength and strategic layout within the AI ecosystem. No matter how high an individual server’s performance is, it remains difficult to support large-scale AI computing without a high-speed and stable data exchange architecture. Total computing power can only be fully unleashed by connecting multiple servers through high-speed switches to enable collaborative operations.
Furthermore, as Sovereign AI and Sovereign Data Centers become strategic development priorities for nations worldwide, high-speed networking technology has emerged as a critical market for AI infrastructure. Utilizing open architecture technology, SERA helps customers enhance their independent technological capabilities while offering 100G/200G, 400G, and higher-bandwidth products, bringing greater choice and flexibility to data center builders.
On the AI application side, SERA is highly optimistic about the development potential of HAI (Hybrid AI / Edge AI). Compared to the past, where the Internet of Things (IoT) was primarily used for sensing and data transmission, AI can now directly perform recognition, analysis, judgment, and execution on terminal devices. However, most traditional terminal equipment vendors still lack the necessary design capabilities. Through open technologies, SERA assists these vendors in rapidly integrating AI functions and lowering technical barriers, allowing them to focus more closely on their core expertise. The applications span diverse fields including industrial automation, home care, medical care, education, entertainment, defense, and smart cities, further driving the intelligent upgrade of edge devices.
At the same time, SERA believes that 5G will serve as the critical transmission technology connecting AI data centers with edge AI devices. With the rapid development of edge AI applications like autonomous vehicles and robotics, market demand for networking has shifted from general Wi-Fi hotspots to low-latency, high security, high stability, and massive connectivity capabilities. This has continuously elevated the importance of 5G and Open RAN (O-RAN) in industrial automation and smart factories. In response to this trend, SERA is actively developing competitive 5G Open Radio Unit (ORU) products and has successfully completed interoperability testing (IOT) with multiple 5G Distributed Unit (DU) vendors.
As 5G transitions from closed architectures toward open standards, accelerated by the demands of AI applications, SERA is well-positioned to seize new opportunities to enter the global telecom infrastructure supply chain. In terms of market layout, the company’s primary focus covers markets such as India, Vietnam, and Japan.
Company Background: Chairman Jerry Chien (簡志豪) founded SERA at the end of 2023, leveraging nearly 40 years of deep experience in the networking industry. The core team consists of key former R&D members from the D-Link Group, dedicated to driving high-performance network infrastructure and smart application innovations, injecting fresh momentum into Taiwan’s networking industry.
