Jerry Chien founded Host Link in 1991, which was acquired by D-Link in 1997. That same year, he led the strategic spin-off of D-Link’s ODM business to establish Cameo Communications Inc. Under his visionary leadership, Cameo acquired Global Sun in 2004 and rapidly emerged as the world’s leading Wi-Fi manufacturer. Jerry was recognized as the youngest CEO of a publicly listed company in Taiwan, driving Cameo’s revenue to USD 500 million. In 2019, he pioneered the development of data center switches, marking a strategic move into enterprise networking.

As D-Link Group continued to focus on the consumer market—an area that diverged from Jerry’s long-term vision—he founded SERA Networks in 2023. SERA is dedicated to advancing open technologies that enable next-generation connectivity services.
